After years of having my site hosted gratis by friends, I've finally decided to pay for my own hosting. I ended up going with WebFaction. They have a great price ($9.00 per month with no commitment and less if you pay in advance) and have easy installers for most of the major web frameworks (including django, which this site is written in).

So far the transition has been painless, and I am happy with the switch.

Its been over a year since I let my old website disappear into the void. That's about as long as anyone should go without some sort of web presence...

My old website had a lot of content related to the Enlightenment window manager &em; an open source project that I used to spend a fair amount of my time working on. Since starting graduate school I've stopped working on the project (due to lack of time, among other things). So, I've decided not to reinstate any of the old content. If anyone wants anything in particular, I can probably dig it up.

Anyway, as always after a redesign, I hope I can manage to write more often than I did before...
